Why do I need this course?
In the state of Massachusetts, you must complete a firearm safety course or a hunter safety course in order to apply for your LTC.
How do I apply for an LTC?
First you must attend a firearm safety course. Upon completion, you will receive a certificate which you will submit with your LTC application to your local Police Department.
Do I need to bring a firearm to class?
No you do not. All firearms are supplied by South Shore Firearm. There is no live ammunition allowed in the class area.
What is your cancellation policy?
We at South Shore Firearm understand that things happen. If it is possible, we would like to know 24 hours in advance if you have to cancel a class time.
How many people can attend one class?
At South Shore Firearm, we offer individual or small - family/ friend groups. (COVID friendly)
Do I need to book range time?
Depending on which town in Massachusetts you live in, you may need to have proof of range time in order to apply for your LTC. You can look under the tab "MA Requirements" to check your towns requirements.
You may also book range time if you want extra practice.
